Edward Gracey smiled as he put the finishing touches on the two envelopes for the mortal girls. He had seen them marching throught the woods behind his mansion at three in the morning. He had already invited ghosts from all over the country to his home, he gave the two letters to a raven trained to deliver mail, this was going to be an evening to remeber.

"Cori!" Jodi screamed from her house, almost, literally, bouncing off the walls. "We got invitations! We got invitations to that hot Gracey guys party!!!! Get your butt in here!"

Cori looked up from the book she was reading, with a roll of her eyes. "Calm down Jodi, you aren't makeing any sence. Wait did you just say Gracey... I know that name from some where, who is it?" She looked over Jodi's sholder at the letters. "A masqurade ball? I cant go I've got to finish my science fair project."

Jodi felt as though her sides were literally splitting open from laughter. "W-w-wait, you can't be serious. Cori, did you learn to joke?" The look on Cori's face proved otherwise. "Wait, you can't be serious," she said again, this time without the laughter. "This is the hot Gracey Guy's party! WE HAVE TO GO!!!" She said, shaking the girl, and secretely hoping that the way she was acting would not get back to Max.

Cori sighed, "Why do we have to go. It's just a party after all." A small frown creased her forhead, "Where have I heard the name Gracey before."

Jodi made some spluttering type noises. "Why! Why? Why!!!! Did you not hear me say it before. The-Hot-Gracey-Guy!!!" Jodi rubbed her hands across her head. She could see Cori still trying to remember where she heard the name. "Oh come on, Cor. You probably heard it in a movie or something. Let's go!"

A week later Cori and Jodi were walking up the steps of Gracy Mannor. They knocked and the huge door creaked open of it's own accord. They went in and suddenly something struck Cori. "Jods, I dont watch movies." The door behind them slammed shut locking the two girls inside.

The realization had just dawned on Jodi also. It wasn't until the dancing bodies turned to face the two that she noticed something awry. "I don't think we're in the mortal realm anymore Cori."

Mr. Gracey caught sight of his two newest guests, and smiled. They had finaly been able to figure out what was going on, or at least part of it. He crossed the room and made a polite bow, "I'm so glad you girls could make it on such short notice. I trust you are enjoying your seves?"

Jodi squeaked as the very hot, but obviously very dead man walked over. "Fine, fine, fine. We're just standing here, being fine, loving life and the fact that we live. I love living, do you love living Cori?" Jodi said frantically, proving, yet again, that she can't keep a cool head in crisis'.

Cori took charge and steped in front of Jodi determined not to let her friend make a fool of herself. "We are haveing a wonderful time Mr. Gracey, thank you so verry much for inviting us." She droped into a curtsey and thaked herself for finding that etiquete book in the library.
A book... that was where she had read the name Gracy... a book Jodi had gotten for her, about true ghost stories. Perfect... now if she could only remember the entire story they might actualy stand a chance of getting through the night alive.

"Yeah, inviting, who doesn't love a lovely night of inviting living girls to come live and party, but all in all live," Jodi said, still rambling, quite unsure of where exactly her "off" button was.

Cori stepped back onto Jodi's toe causing her to yelp in pain. She smiled cooly at the ghost, "What my eloquent friend means is that she quite enjoys all sorts of parties and is entirely thrilled at being invited to one as breath takeing as this."

Mr. Gracey smiled a little more and made another bow. "I'm terribly sorry but I must see to some of my other guests." With a last look at the two girls he walked away. This was going perfectly one of the girls was already terrifid out of her wits and the other one was slowly getting there...
